I So Want This!
Griffin's Tune Center!

It's a media center for your iPod! It let's you see your song info and photos (and video for those of you with nifty new iPods) on your TV screen! And the remote let's you move through all you iPod settings, playlists, photos, etc.

AND...you can connect the Tune Center to your network, either old skool with wires, or wirelessly from your wireless access point. When you do that, you can access internet radio stations.

How friggin' cool is this??? I suppose this would work best if you have surround sound for your TV setup, but in my case...I do! :)

I am SO getting this!!

And Another Thing
Why is it so bad that Alito won't answer how he would vote on overturning Roe vs. Wade? He won't say how he would vote on anything. He has said over and over again that he doesn't know because he would do what a good judge does and look at the specifics of the case and decide it on it's merits and not on his personal political and religious beliefs. I mean yes, it would be great if he would say abortion should remain legal, but by not saying that, it doesn't necessarily suggest he will vote to overturn. It means, if he found Roe vs. Wade to have a strong case and not break any laws or conflict with the constitution, he would probably leave it just the way it is. He seems to feel Starry Decisis does apply to his job. I don't think he would lightly decide to overturn Roe vs. Wade. I am just getting irritated with the Democrats who keep suggesting it means he would overturn...

Ok, I feel better now...

Political Rant
Why would I want to have in political power "someone I can relate to?" Can you please tell me the answer to this question?

I am a fairly intelligent person and I want someone who is wiser, has a higher IQ and is more of a work-a-holic than me. I don't want to know he has hobbies, unless it's reading or crossword puzzles or charity work. Things with a purpose...and note that crossword puzzles have been proven to keep your mind sharp as you age...important for a politician, I think.

So why would I care if Judge Alito is someone I can "relate" to? I have no interest in relating to someone who has that sort of power. I will have a much easier time respecting the opinions and decisions of someone who is clearly out of my league. I will be able to say, "well he is smarter than me, he must know what he's doing." And mean it. And feel secure that he must have made the right decision even if I initially disagree with at first.

This idea, although directly pointed at a news reported on TV speaking about Alito, also summarizes my dislike for George Bush and his Man of the People attitude.

Perhaps this clears some things up for you if you were wondering, and if not, well, that's my opinion and this is my blog, so tough noogies...

Sort Of Coming Back Into The World...
Being sick really limits your blogging topics! I did finally go out last night though. I went to dinner with NYE Boy and after 20 minutes of driving (to downtown) and my sniveling and coughing, we decided to stop at a CVS and get some cold meds. I warned him that I was still sounding pretty bad, but he had insisted that if I was feeling ok, that it was fine, he didn't care. Ha! I think he cared after 20 minutes of it! lol...But a sweet little red Sudafed and I was feeling fine. Dinner was great...well, dinner was ok, the conversation was great. He is very interesting. And very smart in ways I am completely ignorant, and vice versa. It's nice. I think because our intelligences are so different, it's easy to respect one another's opinion.

We'll see where it goes. Like I said yesterday, he will most likely be in Iraq by this summer, but for the time being, I am just going to enjoy the good company, and seamingly endless conversation...
